  All the locals know this honey spot of the Northwoods. I recommend the "porkies" as it's affectionately nicknamed, to all hikers, nature lovers, and the like.

  Be sure to stop into the visitors center to get the lay of the land and and overview of the hiking and sites in the Porcupine Mountains. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They have some nice exhibits of the area as well.
